Roland Smith likes to put his characters in some pretty exciting, and sometimes dangerous, locations. His characters travel the world, visiting places like Switzerland, the Amazon, Africa, Mexico, and in his newest book, Peak, Mt. Everest.
They find themselves in the middle of civil wars, in witness protection programs, on private islands, and even on the slopes of an erupting volcano!
If you could go anywhere in the world for an adventure, where would you go? Why there? What would you do there?
Is there anyplace in the world you would not like to visit? What is it about that place or the situation there that would keep you from going there?
Can't think of anyplace to go? Take a look at Google Earth, and see if you get any ideas. Or use it to visit the places in Smith's books!

Mrs. Luiten's class is reading The Classroom at the End of the Hall, and so far, it's a really good book. It's funny too!
Stormbreaker is a great book! It's full of action and it gets more and more exciting, never boring.
Most of Mr. B's class enjoyed Kavik, the Wolf Dog, by Walt Morey. Read this book!
PS a few people thought it was boring.

I'm reading this book called FLy By Night and I like it. It's really confusing though. The government in this book is really out of whack and there are tons of political parties that all have a different side of the story, so its really confusing, but I like it.
I also reccomend A Face First. This is a great book. It's about a girl who gets in a car accident and how she deals with it. It's very well-written.
I really liked the Lord of the Rings series. i have to admit, the first chapter is pretty boring in all of them, but if you can last through all of that, it finally gets really exciting. It's definitely worth it!
I recomend Eldest By Cristopher Paloni,because it is a great book to read for the Eragon triligy!

I would like to reckamend a book called Room One by Andrew Clements. I also agree with alex said Small Steps is a realy graet book and I think everyone should read it.
Some of the people in Mr. C's sixth grade class liked the books Sparrow Hawk Red and Maniac Magee.

I think Eragon is a great book. because it is about a boy and a dragon that have to save the contry. So you should read it today.
I'd recomend the diary of a young girl. It is writen by Anne Frank and is actually a diary. it is sad, but I think it is great anyway.

I would like to recomend the series called Warriors. It is about some cats who live in the wilderness, and they have to pertect their home, friends, and family.
Eragon and Eldest are good books. They are well written, and you don't want to put them down.
If I could I could anywhere in the world, I would go to a library with every book ever written. That would be so cool!

The Gregor books are greaat. I recomend them to anyone who loves books with exitement adventure and someone who would love flying on a giant bat :) (The series includes Gregor the Overlander (1st book), Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane (2nd book), Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods.)

I Sarah R. recaned the books about CSI they're so........good but sometimes creepy.I love those kinds of movies,shows,and books!!!Oh and I heard that Harry Potter books are also great too!!!:)

i love the book called A Travelers Gift!!!! it is about a boy who thinks his life sucks and then he goes on a journey and meets with alot of famous people and they teach him a life lesson and teaches him how to live his life right and not make bad choices!!!! it is a great book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i recamend reading the edge coronicle books because they're full of adventure and mystery. i really like the different types of creatures in the books and if you have an overflowing imagination and love to travel this is a perfect match for you!!!!!!!!!
